I went on a cruise around Halong Bay, on a Chinese junk boat. The trip was two days and one night. It was so relaxing, fun and beautiful. I met some people on the boat that were Chinese, Kiwi, American, Australian and from Martinique. There were only 18 people on the boat. We went to a island with a cave and a beach. The cave was made of limestone. It was huge and beautiful. The beach was a nice cool-off. It was so hot. The cave was supposed to be “cold”. It was hot. Then we went swimming at the beach. There were so many dead fish. Even though they were small, they were still gross. Some people started picking them up and throwing them. After, we went kayaking around a big island. On one side of the island it was flat and easy to paddle. At the other side the current was strong and not easy to paddle in. The next day we went to a floating school. It looked so dirty and you felt you should help. The school that they didn’t take you to was the school that was in the next building. You know, the school with computers, a new chalkboard and musical instruments.
My cooking class was cool, but kind of boring. We made Hanoi style spring rolls, green papaya salad and stir fry chicken with cashews. That is all to say.
I have a upset tummy today. It sucks. The sad thing is all I ate today was a bowl of wonton soup, bread and fruit.
Her are some pictures:
Great pics Meg. Sorry you got an upset tummy.how was sleeping on the boat? G
Meg,
I am amazed at all the things you are doing. You might develop great muscles from paddling. Hope the tummy is better by this. The weather is gorgeous here.
Luv, Granma Sis.
