NYC? Hong Kong?

I am in Hong Kong. It feels as though I am in New York City. The smell of cigarette smoke and construction. The sound of car horns beeping and constant talking. When you are here, it is hard to remember that you are in China and not in New York. Being pushed around by people and taking the subway everywhere is the same. The difference is there are no beggars and when the subway is really busy they have people that push and cram you in to the subway. The rest of my trip is this:

1. Hong Kong: 6 days

2. Bangkok: 3 days

3. Phuket: 5 days

4. Chiang Mai: 5 days

5. Bangkok: 1 night

6. Hanoi: 7 days

7. Siem Reap: 4 days

8. Beijing: 4 days

9. Home: Till my next trip 🙂

Yesterday we went to the peak of Hong Kong. It was amazing. It was like you were taking a picture of the world, you had the city and you had the lush, green, beautiful trees and mountains. This gives me the feeling that this trip is going to be very different than my Europe trip. We also went to Stanley market the fruit made your mouth water with its look and smell. Today we went up the mid-level escalators. We walk half way then had breakfast then we took the escalators the other half up. The reason that we took the escalators only the second half way up is because they were going down then they changed when we got out of breakfast. We walked all the way down which wasn’t as hard as going up. With the temperature being 23 degrees celsius and it being 100 % humidity(no joke) there was a lot of wanting to sit down or wiping the sweat of your face. When you wiped the sweat of your face you would get told not to touch your face. That was pretty much it.

Here is a picture of Hong Kong:
