Yesterday we woke up early (already sounds like a bad day doesn’t it), had breakfast like a normal day. Next we got in the car and drove for 2 hours. Do you wonder where we were going? We went to a hot spring. It looked like a… I can’t even explain it. Maybe 2 pictures would help:
The colour of the water was unreal. It was a light turquoise, almost. You could pick a tier (a small pool of water) and have it for yourself. The water is rich with minerals. You know when you put epsom salts/oils that make your skin feel nice in your bath, this water is naturally enriched with these. All I have to say is that it looked and felt cool (not temperature, it was warm but not hot),but it smelled like hard boiled eggs. When you came out of the water you smelled like the hard boiled eggs. Fun in the end.
Today I went to a market. We thought it would be meat and vegetables, but it wasn’t. It was mostly clothes and food. BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then, we went to Arezzo the city. Just a bunch of women in high heels trying to walk up and down the the hills. Fun to watch. Don’t try it at home kids.
I think I would like to try the spa..T’wd help my pains. The smell woulld not bother me. So did you manage to get the meat and vegetables after? Guess what, you will soon be packing again..too bad ..but I miss you, so “cOME HOME”
hahahah….am laughing while reading this one Meg…your description of the hot springs have me in stitches….”hard boiled eggs”….hmmmm…not so fragrant. I have to admit it really does look odd with the “tiers”…and as to the high heels..I guess your mom can attest to the fact that walking up and down on uneven surfaces in high heels is NOT A GOOD IDEA! Keep the blogs coming hon!
Meg,
You are a card. We are home now from Russia so we will correspond with you. Speaking of high heels, we saw more very very high heels in Russia -a surprise for us- many women wear heels at least 5 to 6 inches – I think it is dumb!I guess you are in Rome now – a very ancient city -enjoy.
Love you
Grandpa
